Our independent bookstores are more than just a place to find the work of your favorite authors. They also play a key role in our local literary ecosystem, by helping to create a sense of literary community. Like so many other businesses that rely on in-person patronage, the last year has presented an exceptional challenge for local bookstores, on top of the pressures they already faced.
