Brian Cuban
Brian Cuban may be best known for being the younger brother of Dallas Mavericks owner, entrepreneur, and Shark Tank star Mark Cuban. Apart from his famous last name, he is also someone who has struggled with drug and alcohol addiction; indeed, at one of his lowest points, he traded Dallas Mavericks’ Championship tickets for cocaine. He candidly detailed in his memoir, The Addicted Lawyer: Tales of the Bar, Booze, Blow, and Redemption, how his addiction to alcohol and drugs, compounded by other mental health issues, destroyed his successful legal career. In long-term recovery, Cuban frequently speaks and writes about the impact of addiction on the legal profession and the ethics of lawyers.
