Darryl Dickson-Carr
Darryl Dickson-Carr is E.A. Lilly Professor of English at Southern Methodist University, where he teaches courses in twentieth-century American literature, African American literature, and satire. He is the author of Spoofing the Modern: Satire in the Harlem Renaissance (U of South Carolina P, 2015), The Columbia Guide to Contemporary African American Fiction (Columbia UP, 2005), and African American Satire: The Sacredly Profane Novel (U of Missouri P, 2001). In 2023, he served as guest editor for the ADE-ADFL Bulletin issue on the public humanities. His current research focuses on African American political rhetoric.
