Joaquin Zihuatanejo

Joaquín Zihuatanejo is a poet and award-winning teacher from Dallas, Texas. Joaquín received his MFA from the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico. His book, Arsonist, won the Anhinga-Robert Dana Prize for Poetry. His work has been featured on HBO, NBC, and NPR. Joaquín has two passions in his life, his partner Aída and poetry, always in that order.
