Lauren Cerand
Lauren Cerand is an independent public relations representative and consultant with more than two decades of experience in the worlds of arts, culture and literature, spanning publicity and strategic communications guidance to event programming and board leadership. She prioritizes projects with an international perspective and a commitment to the social good, and serves on the advisory committees of Off Assignment magazine, and Film Forum in New York. She is a co-creator, with Chris McCaffery and Michael Barron, of the Washington Review of Books Presents reading series. Her publicity list in 2025 includes Tierno Monénembo, Morgan Jerkins, Martha Anne Toll, Rosey Lee, Deborah Brown English, Margaret Hutton, and Will Mountain Cox. Cerand holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Industrial & Labor Relations from Cornell University, and currently lives in Baltimore.
