Sara Idacavage, Ph.D.
Sara Idacavage, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Fashion Media at Southern Methodist University. In addition to historical and cultural scholarship, her research focuses on transforming fashion education through sustainable thinking. Her work has appeared in academic journals such as Fashion Theory, Winterthur Portfolio, International Journal of Fashion Design, Technology and Education, and Fashion, Style & Popular Culture. She has experience working in archives and museums that include the Parsons Fashion Study Collection, the Ralph Lauren Library, the Museum of the City of New York, the Georgia Museum of Art, and the University of Georgia’s Special Collections Libraries, where she curated an exhibition titled From Farms to Fast Fashion: Unraveling the Need for Sustainable Style.
