Sylvana Avila Alonzo

Sylvana Flores Avila is a writer and editor. She founded the Oak Cliff Coalition for the Arts, a nonprofit that promotes, art, education, and literature. She established and chairs the Voces Chapbook & Literary Seminar held annually and includes writer's workshops and publishing of the annual chapbook. The purpose of Voces is to promote the writing and publishing of new works. Sylvana co-edited Voces: A Lyric Anthology de Nuestro Pueblos, published by Floricanto Press.
