Toni Munoz-Hunt

Recently, Toni completed her Ph.D. in literature where her dissertation became a hybrid work focused on a distinct population within the Latinx community that endured a process she termed “double hybridization.” Utilizing this concept and autoethnography research methodology resulted in her children’s book, El Bowie Bakery. Currently, Toni is a creative writing instructor at The University of Texas at Dallas. Her works have been featured in publications like Borders in Globalization Review and Columbia Journal. In 2020, she won the Blue Mesa Review Nonfiction Prize for Border Sisters, and presented articles abroad, including The University Culture Centre in Bialystok, Poland.
